The Biking Vikings, a North East troupe of pipe and drum playing Vikings, are returning to this year’s festival in support of Brain Tumour Research! Over the last 10 years they’ve raised over £80,000 for Brain Tumour Research, and every penny collected goes straight to the charity. The Biking Vikings perform a unique blend of music using drums, border pipes, and even a Viking horn. Their performance isn’t just a show – everyone is encouraged to join in, kids and adults! On the day you’ll find: Drums for all to play, Spin-the-wheel game, Viking photo booth, and child-friendly axe throwing (foam axes, safe and fun!)
The Biking Vikings perform in memory of Adam Forster, a local farmer who sadly died from a glioblastoma (GBM) at the age of 42, only 11 months after his diagnosis. Their fundraising efforts are inspirational, and through their determination and care, they have transformed the lives of many people who receive support from Brain Tumour Research UK.
