A Full Circle Moment with The Melodrome Mobile Stage…

When the first Alston Live Festival took place back in 2014, the main stage stood proudly in the open air. It was the first festival held there since the legendary Moon Festivals of Nenthead, where music echoed across the fells and people gathered to celebrate freely under the open sky. Over the years, Alston Live evolved, and the much loved Giddy Aunt Tent became an iconic part of the festival experience. But this year, we’re doing something a little different…

With the Melodrome taking centre stage, live music returns to the open air once again! It feels like a nostalgic nod to our roots – a full-circle moment that connects this year’s festival to the very beginning of Alston Live and the rich festival heritage of the North Pennines. And what a soundtrack we have planned! Joining us on the Melodrome stage will be Friday night headliners Diddley Squat, Saturday night headliners John Otway & The Big Band, alongside outstanding performances from Cian Downing, The Brothers Gillespie, local favourites The Flying Thimbles, and many more across the weekend.

Open air is back, and The Melodrome awaits…see you on the field!
